City One Securities Ltd, formerly known as Europacific Corporate Finance Ltd, Holmes & Company Ltd was a London-based financial advisory firm that was declared in default by the FSCS in April 2020 as it wasn’t able to pay any claims made against them.

City One Securities was an appointed representative of Alexander David Securities (ADS), from 2012 to 2016, and it had the same CEO, John Newlands, as St Pauls
Marketing which was another appointed representative of ADS.

During their time as an adviser, the firm wrongly advised people to transfer their pensions into a high-risk and non–standard investment. The high-risk investment and pension transfer didn’t match the people’s attitude to risk and/or were not suitable for their financial circumstances.
